My puppies

I think fundamentally its best to understand that each breeder is different, how they breed, why they breed are different and therefore the resulting puppies are different.

I won't try and say that my puppies are for everyone, but I do believe there is a breeder for everyone, so look around.

I firmly believe that health is the foundation of any breeding, so alongside testing my dogs for their hips and eyes, I get their elbows and Gonioscopy (extra eye test) done, all my puppies leave with copies of these health tests from both parents and no breeding happens if these test are not good enough.

These puppies are my babies, I spend many hours debating and planning the mating for them and then worry and love on them every seconded after, even when the babies leave I worry after them still. The joy, love and life that my Nim has brought to me is what I want to give back to this beautiful breed and give to others.

I think one of the reasons we fall in love with the Samoyed breed so much is their temperament, their love of everyone and their gentleness with children, make them a perfect companion. For me a Samoyed is an all-purpose working breed. They should be able to be calm and lay with you on the sofa, go on long walks, agility or anything else you wish to do with them. They should not be crazy or uncontrollable, they should not need as much exercise as a husky, but don't expect them to lie around all day every day! They are an elegant dog, full of grace and beauty, this is what I try to keep in mind when choosing a pairing that will complement each other and will make the best possible puppies.

I understand that most people want to come and see the puppies and pick for themselves which one will be theirs. But when it comes to my puppies, I like to pair them with their owners, so that the puppy and owner may have a perfect match. I spend a lot of time with the puppies and get to learn their personalities, how they react to certain things, which are the most outgoing and which are the more reserved puppies. There is no point in having said that you want a softer more careful pup and having children in your house, then you choosing the puppy that runs around lots and bashes into everything without a care, you have to remember that when you see the puppies for the couple of hours that you are here it is brief and the puppy you now see sleeping may be perfect, but not what you are asking for. It really helps me if you can tell me as much as you can about what you wish to do with the puppy, so that the right match is chosen for you both, I am not trying to be mean by doing this, but to try and assure a lifelong happiness.

I am more then happy to welcome visitors to come and see my puppies, even if it is just for the joy of puppy cuddles and not with a plan to be getting one and you are more then welcome to meet my all of my dogs.

All my puppies are sold with contracts, they leave with a paper file of information and a puppy box. The puppy box contains the food they have been weaned onto enough to last you a week, a bottle of water from our tap for you to change them over with (one of the most common causes for upset puppy tummies is the change of water) and there are a couple of toys and other bits to get you started.
The puppies are raised in the living room, where they experience the normal household noises (TV, Hoover, lots of noise and things going on around them). They get lots of visitors of all ages, so they are well socialised, they enjoy bumbling around in the garden with the other Sam's and getting mucky. I like to try and get the puppies use to as many new things as possible; new experiences, foods, floor surfaces etc. They have lots of different toys to play and learn with. I agree with the American stimulation theory to help the puppy's brain growth and confidence, without learning to run head first into everything.

One of the most important things to me is that if anything ever goes wrong then the puppy comes back to me. I am always happy to have the puppy back at any time, I like to keep in touch with the puppy's parents and up to date on how the puppy is growing and doing, I am always at the end of the phone/email for any problems or questions.

I wish you the best of luck in finding your puppy.
