The Field spaniel is a Kennel Club recognised British breed, dating it's official recognition back to the early 1800's. "field spaniel", is a title given to a working dog of spaniel breed, that spends most of its time in the field, it's an American term that has been taken on elsewhere. The Field spaniel is currently listed as a vulnerable breed, with the Kennel club and without love and care and people willing to help keep the breed alive, they will die out completely.
The Field is easily distinguishable from it's cousins, the Cocker Spaniel and the American Cocker Spaniel:
